Sawmill Creek Resort is a full-service retreat and conference center in the heart of the Lake Erie Shores and Island Region. The site features a world-class golf course designed by Tom Fazio, a marina, and access to the Sheldon Marsh Nature Preserve.
JGJ was contracted by Cedar Fair Entertainment to renovate the existing hotel room, lounge, restaurants, kitchen, indoor and outdoor pool, convention center, and office spaces.
New construction features include an exterior porte cochère at conference entry, including concrete and asphalt, and landscaping.
An initial site investigation uncovered extensive plumbing and electrical system update requirements. This resulted in an expansion of the project scope to include corridor concrete demolition, new sanitary lines installation, and new stacks to the second floor. The expanded scope also included work on the golf course and pro shop.
