Sankofa Village sits on 3.98 acres along the west side of E. 28th Street and across from Cuyahoga Community College’s Downtown Campus. John G. Johnson Construction was chosen to build phases three and four of the affordable housing new construction project.
Phase 3: The townhomes consist of 75 units across five buildings. Families in this development have access to outdoor and indoor exercise facilities, a clubhouse, and supportive services focused on infant mortality.
Phase 4: The fourth phase provides infill housing along the east and west sides of the newly constructed E. 26th street and will be contiguous with the freshly renovated Cleveland Central Recreation Center.
Cuyahoga County and the City of Cleveland are making significant infrastructure investments in both the new road and the improved recreation center to support the completion of this redevelopment.
