Initially built in 1922, this 70,000 SF building is the former home to Mueller Electric Company, maker of the common electrical alligator clip. The project converted the space into 51 market-rate apartments creating six studios, 26 one-bedroom, 15 two-bedroom, and 4 three-bedroom apartments. This is the first major residential development in Cleveland’s AsiaTown neighborhood.
The project team worked together to create an open, airy space with natural sunlight in an existing industrial use building. An interior courtyard was carved out for residents to enjoy an outdoor space and also create an abundance of natural light for the apartment units.
